Sainsbury’s Jobs – Ponsharden Superstore – 350 Job Vacancies

Sainsbury’s have finally submitted a planning application for their new superstore just of the A39 roundabout at Ponsharden, Falmouth, Cornwall.

Cornwall County Council are now considering the plans for replacing the existing Sainsbury’s store and also Vospers Garage with a larger store that would employ the 150 workers from the current Sainsbury’s supermarket and create 350 new job vacancies. Vospers are likely to move to the site of the present Sainsbury’s store.

Under several different planning applications, Sainsbury’s are hoping to build a superstore, petrol station and an outlet for non-food goods.

Last October, Sainsbury’s held a public exhibition of their plans and these received a support rate of over 80%.
