Wisbech Retail Park – 500 Job Vacancies

Wisbech Retail Park has finally had its plans approved by Fenland District Council.

The site is located on Cromwell Road, Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. It is to be developed at a cost of £50m and is expected to create 500 job vacancies in the construction phase alone.

Wisbech Retail Park will host a 2.5 hectare greyhound stadium, an 8-screen cinema complex, a Tesco superstore, restaurants, and major retailer outlets such as Matalan, New Look and Next. There will also be 3 touchscreen tourist information points – worth mentioning because they were what swayed Fenland councillors into approving the scheme.

Work will soon get underway and part of the Wisbech Retail Park should be in public use by late in 2013.
