Job Title: Strategic Marketing Manager
Location : Bangalore
Description:
We are looking for a genius of a strategic marketer to join us. You are expected to be awesome at marketing, intense, have an unhealthy imagination and have an attitude, one way or the other.
Basically, the job involves turning up whenever you want to, or working from your home. It would be nice if you LOVE marketing, can handle massive multitasking and invent words & concepts on the fly and convince your team.
Speaking of which, you will report to someone responsible for marketing. You will be part of a marketing team that includes a night-club DJ, a terrible but national level standup comedian, professional spammers, old school bikers, Startup CEOs and semi-pro gamblers. And oh, a dangerous bunch of geeks and cut throat sales team, headed by an ex-marine will be keeping a close eye on you.
Our business is basically about tinkering with tomorrow’s technology. Our god-level geeks build super awesome software that goes straight into rocket science, gene sequencing, ocean floor mapping and organized financial fraud. You get the idea. There seems to be a good market for that, now that we are growing at over 50% for 3rd straight year ( recession is for Pappus). A big part of your job will be to help us grow in style. That would include running marketing for a continent (Europe) , romancing the pipe and creating the buzz. We reckon, it will also involve a good bit of customer schmoozing, GTM, branding, events, customer marketing, guerilla marketing, PR and what have you. You will get a free rein to chart your course, fix your budget, hire your team and land the brand. If you are awesome at this, let’s speak.
There will also be back breaking labor expected out of you in areas of corporate strategy. It is way too strategic to tell you here; you have an unhealthy imagination. So go figure. Being part of a small entrepreneurial company, you might get to mess with more strategy than you strategized for. It might turn out to be fun though.
If you can speak as well as you can PowerPoint, you are already ahead of the pack. You might want to have 6.21-10.38 years’ experience in marketing; have a really fancy MBA, a fancier BTech. All that would be nice but a good thinking head, a compulsive marketing mind, ability to manage sales folks, manic high energy and creative awesomeness would really clinch it. We really cannot ask for more.
Requirements:
As a prospective employee, we expect you to read up about us and speak to local bartenders for the inside dope. We tend to think we have an awesome strategy, though we have a sneaky suspicion that we are perhaps not the only player in this niche that includes hot startups, Fortune 1000 and the unfortunate rest. Our customers think we are Pace setters on the Microsoft platform, which is cool. We are the fastest growing outsourced product development company. And a great place to work (yeah, the industry said that and awarded us at a nice function). Especially for marketing folks. We hire about 1 in 158 people we meet (really) and people tend to stay with us for more than 4 years on an average (which is unreal, given the industry boredom threshold of 2.1 years).
In case you are more curious, we are paying in gold for marketing awesomeness. For your ambition, energy and enthusiasm, we have ample unspeakable avenues. Our ex’s can be found heading MSFT India, Adobe India and FBI’s CIO office (honest!). Your career is all planned out to the last bullet pointed detail. Somewhere. We would still offer you all the benefits that everyone claims to be special/unique but we know to be fairly standard. Like flexi time, free lunch, tolerance for torn jeans and T-shirts, foosball, 5 types of coffee, bean bags, loud music, responsive HR and glass windows

IT has become an essential component for almost any business to run. Where years ago IT was a “nice to have”, now it is a “must” to stay competitive and to address all requirements put on companies to be in business. Though IT is critical, very rarely is the IT strategy closely aligned with the Business or Business Strategy, where IT can provide direct results to meet or exceed identified business goals or vision. As a result, IT is often considered a cost center, allowing for consistent budget cuts and lack of support from the business to address important IT requirements.
Aditi leverages Business & IT Alignment methods to help IT build a "golden thread" strategy that directly reflects business focused initiatives as well as impact of IT initiatives critical for business success. Because we take a top down view - IT strategy is derived through business initiatives and is communicated consistently from a business view point, creating more clarity about ITs role in business success. As part of this effort, Aditi helps change the culture of IT to take a more business aligned view, creating clear threads and decision criteria to allow IT to make decision based on the business. In turn, all IT decisions can then be clearly articulated back to business, demonstrating how they align with their needs.
Business and IT processes are at the core of an organizations ability to deliver consistent, predictable results. Most all clients today are looking to instill standard process principles within their organization to strengthen their position. Determining what, where, when and how of process adoption and improvement is critical to the success of a process driven program and to ensure measurable improvement, business value and successful adoption.
Aditi leverages Strategic Alignment, Innovation and Collaboration to help our clients focus on effective process activities to meet business and IT goals, whether they occur in isolation or as part of a broader program.
