Serves as an expert in hardware / software systems engineering. Undertakes the most complex projects requiring additional specialized technical knowledge. Makes well-thought-out decisions on the most complex or ambiguous hardware / software systems engineering issues. Ensures that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency. Designs , develops , tests , debugs and implements the most complex hardware / software components , tools , and utilities. Makes the most complex modifications to existing hardware / software to fit specialized needs and configurations.

Actual installation experience and support of a zOS 1.6 or later operating system. At least 1 complete evolution upgrade ( eg. zOS 1.9 to 1.10 ) .

Assembler coding experience in coding applications or systems programs / user exits.

ISPF / TSO - high proficiency and ability to customize at systems level.

High JCL skills.

SMPE 1 to 2 years experience with IBM and 3rd party software.

JES2 and / or JES3 experience plus SDSF abilities.

High experience level in IPCS , dump debugging or IBM Fault analyser , and problem determination. Strong current zOS internals and general zOS analytical.

High experience and proficiency with online monitors tools ( BMC Mainview , Omegamon , BEST1 , or equivlant ) .

Interface some first level internal knowledge of DB2 , CICS , MQ , IMS , TCP / IP , and / or ACP.
